Our technicians just returned home from the 2016 NCSG convention (National Chimney Sweep Guild) in Orlando, Florida. Robert Berry has said that with the help of Jeremy Biswell, presdient of the NCSG and owner of Flues Brothers, this has been one of the best ones yet! Our technicians had a blast and came back with more knowledge of the chimney industry, they are now ready to put it to use in the field.
From the first day attending the convention down to the very last speech our technicians learned a lot; as the 2016 NCSG Convention put emphasis on safety and running an ethical business. The opening keynote speech “From a Farm Kid to Rocket Man: Design a Life for Yourself One Little Step at a Time” by Story Musgrave was both inspirational and motivating to all the chimney sweeps in attendance. The closing keynote “Blue Collar Gold-How to Build a Service Business From the Dirt Up” by Mark Stoner provided both helpful and strong leadership examples of our organizational members by providing tangible professional suggestions. We look forward to the 2017 NCSG convention!
